Vicksburg was a silver mining supply town high in the Sawatch Range. After the mines closed, one family acquired the townsite and has preserved it for nearly a century. Visitors are welcome but the town is privately owned.

Vicksburg supplied nearby silver mines. The town had stores, saloons, and a post office.
Preservation
The Bohn family has owned and maintained Vicksburg since the 1920s. They open it to respectful visitors.
